Bangladesh tops among SAARC in the global cyber security index

Bangladesh ranks top among SAARC countries in the National Cyber ​​Security Index (NCSI). Bangladesh ranks 41st among SAARC countries in the rankings with a score of 59.74. The index is based on the cyber security and digital development situation in 160 countries around the world. The National Cyber ​​Security Index (NCSI) is created to assess basic cyber attack preparedness, cyber incidents, crime and major crisis management activities. According to the NCSI, India is ranked 42nd, Pakistan 71st, Sri Lanka 72nd, Nepal 99th, Bhutan 118th and Afghanistan 133rd among other SAARC countries. According to statistics, Bangladesh is ahead of other countries in terms of strong stance against cyber crime, immediate solution to cyber incidents, e-identification and trust services, cyber threat analysis and information. Greece is in the best position with a score of 96.10 in the latest index published on the NCSI website. The Czech Republic and Estonia are in second and third places with a score of 92.21 and 90.91 respectively. Meanwhile, despite being at the top position in the global cyber security index, Bangladesh's position has changed a bit compared to August this year. In August, Bangladesh was ranked 38th in the global cyber security index.
